Prius Brakes Latest in Mounting Toyota Problems

Toyota’s reputation as a maker of safe, reliable vehicles is in serious jeopardy. The U.S. federal government has stopped the sale of eight Toyota models. Now Toyota is facing a new investigation by both the U.S. and Japanese governments on the braking system of the 2010 model Prius hybrid. Many believe the problem goes beyond the braking system and may involve the entire electronic system. The various recalls could cost Toyota $2 billion.
