New models, rural mkts & low rates propel auto sales

Tata Motors, the country’s third largest passenger car manufacturer, recorded its highest-ever domestic car sales at 22,707 units, a growth of 47% over January 2009 on the back of 4,001 units of Nano and the highest-ever sales of Indica in this fiscal at 11,448 units.
